The Coginchaug Football Club is accepting “The Blue Devil Golf Ball Drop," a fundraiser aimed at helping the team raise money to buy equipment for players and cheerleaders.
On August 31, a helicopter is going to drop 1,000 golf balls onto the football field. The golf ball closest to the target will win $1,000. The second place prize is $500 and a third place prize of $250 will be awarded.
Golf balls are $10 each. To purchase a golf ball (or multiple golf balls), email Gary Paxton at gpaxton@comcast.net or melyndagranger@comcast.net for a form and send a check and the form to:
