Zumba® For A Cure

DURHAM FITNESS AND DURHAM WOMENS CLUB TO CO-SPONSOR “ZUMBA® FOR A CURE” TO BENEFIT THE LEUKEMIA AND LYMPHOMA SOCIETY

 

Durham, CT –The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is a highly respected national health agency dedicated to finding a cure for the number one killing disease of children, leukemia, and improving the life of patients and their families. This organization has increased the survival rate from a bleak 4% in 1960 to over 80% today!

But there is still work to be done. Even with these remarkable advances in treatment someone will still die from a blood-related cancer every ten minutes. That is why Durham Fitness and Durham Womens Club have teamed up to help raise money with its first annual Zumba® For A Cure.  This event will take place at Brewster Elementary School, 126 Tuttle Road, Durham, CT on Tuesday evening March 22. Registration begins at 5:30pm – Zumba® – from 6 to 7pm – Come for 5 minutes or come for the hour – just join the party!!

Zumba® is a fun, easy to follow, Latin- inspired, calorie burning dance workout that anyone can do!! If you have ever wanted to try it – Now is your chance and you will know your contribution is going to a good cause. The event is open to all ages – anyone can participate. So grab your friends, get up off the couch and join us for Zumba® For a Cure.

 

We ask for a minimum donation of $10, of which 100% will be donated to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

 

This is an exciting event where everyone who comes whether participating or cheering someone on is sure to have fun!
