CT Sign Repeats as Durham Softball Women's League Champions

Connecticut Sign defended its softball title this past week.  There are six softball teams in the Durham Women's League and each played 12 games over the summer.  After the regular season was finished, the top four teams advanced to the playoffs.  CT Sign beat Indian Springs on Monday in a very closely contested game and advanced to the championship game two days later.  With the sun shining on their backs as they stood on the field, CT Sign managed to hold Durham Fitness to a single run.  Both teams played very well and in a game that was much more closely contested than the final score indicates, CT Sign won 8-1.

The team is coached by Dan Munro, the owner of Connecticut Sign and the team's sponsor and player-managed by Kelly Munro.  Sharon Criscuolo is the scorekeeper.  The women are grateful to their coach, scorekeeper, umpires, fans and other teams' players and they plan on continuing to play together again next summer!
