Middlefield's Tim Boyle was 16-for-22 for 263 yards and 3 TDs on Wednesday night as Xavier defeated Greenwich 55-14 in the Class LL quarterfinal game at Palmer Field.
The Falcons were leading 20-14 but scored 35 unanswered points, including a 56-yard touchdown pass from Boyle to wide receiver Kris Luster just before halftime, to get the win.
Xavier has now won six straight games after losing to Hand of Madison 40-20 in mid-October and is just one win away from playing for its third-straight state championship.
Boyle has signed on to play for the Boston College Eagles next fall.
