Outgoing Regional School District 13 Superintendent Susan Viccaro has landed a job in Massachusetts.
On Monday, Viccaro was picked to be the next head of schools in Newburyport, a small town located along the state's North Shore. Viccaro is a native of nearby Essex.
She will leave the school district at the end of the month after serving 29 years as a teacher and administrator in Durham and Middlefield.
Earlier this week the school board announced the hiring of Dr. Ernest Perlini as interim superintendent as the search for Viccaro's replacement continues.
