HK, Coginchaug Boys Finish 1-2 in Shoreline Track and Field Championship [VIDEO]

HK's Leah Pfrommer leads Cougars to third place finish in girls division.

 

The Haddam Killingworth High School boys track and field team won the Shoreline Conference Track and Field Championship on Wednesday, finishing the meet with a combined score of 137. 

The Coginchaug High School boys team finished in second place, with a score of 100.

Lead by sophomore Leah Pfrommer, the HK girls team finished in third place with 86 points. Old Saybrook girls took home the championship with a combined score of 150.50.

Pfrommer won the triple jump with a shoreline record of 35' 6.5", as well as the long jump. She also finished in first place in the girls 100m and 200m dash.

Coginchaug's Ethan Donecker swept the long jump, triple jump and high jump, while Sam Baker finished in second place in the long jump and high jump.

HK's Pat Dougherty and Jake Hinds took home first and second place in the javelin throw, respectively.

The HK boys 4X400 relay team of Nick Duval, Andrew Vollaro, Luke Gersz and Colin O'Brien were first to cross the finish line. Duval also won the 200m dash and the 400m run and finished a close second in the 100m dash.
