Last Second Win Propels Coginchaug, Sends HK Home

Blue Devils edge Cougars 45-44 to advance in Class S tournament.

 

Coginchaug's Sam Baker scored with 0.9 left on the clock, was fouled, and sank a free throw to give the Blue Devils a 45-44 win over Haddam Killingworth Wednesday night.

The dramatic finish in Durham ended the Cougars (18-7) season and sent Coginchaug (18-3) to the quarterfinals of the Class S tournament to take on Capital Prep.
