Hand Ends Xavier's 30 Game Win Streak With 40-20 Upset [Video Highlights]

Matt Walsh leads Tigers with five touchdown performance at Palmer Field.

 

Hand outscored Xavier 26-0 in the second half of Friday night's matchup of No. 1 versus No. 2 at Palmer Field in Middletown on their way to upsetting the Falcons 40-20.

The Tigers were lead by running back Matt Walsh who scored five touchdowns to extend last year's Class L champions' winning streak to 18-games. The loss snapped Xavier's 30-game winning streak.

Hand quarterback Brendan Bilcheck passed for 271 yards and a TD on 22-30 passing while Xavier quarterback Tim Boyle was 10-for-24 for 140 yards and a TD.

With the win, Hand is expected to be ranked No. 1 in the state football rankings on Monday.
