Frank Wins Shoreline Tennis Title
The Coginchaug High School junior split the first two sets with her opponent Thursday before pulling out a third set tiebreaker to win the Shoreline Conference title.
Coginchaug High School junior Melanie Frank captured the Shoreline Conference tournament title on Thursday to become the first Blue Devils female tennis player ever to win the Shoreline championship.
In an exciting finals match, she beat Haddam Killingworth's Reilly Fitzgibbons 6-0, 1-6, 7-6 (8-6).
Frank is undefeated in 2013 and will compete in the state tournament which begins next week.
