Very Low Turnout in Middlefield Referendum

Only 60 Middlefield residents have turned out to vote in the $36.6 million school budget referendum, as of Tuesday morning.

"It's extremely low," said Allison Dodge, election official.

There are 3,183 registered voters in Middlefield. Voters in town are decided whether to accept or reject a $36.6 million proposed budget for the 2013-14 school year.
