Killingworth’s own Children’s Librarian and author Gayle Byrne will be featured at the Killingworth Library’s Author Series on Sunday, February 12 at 3pm.

Byrne will not only read from her children’s picture book “Sometimes It’s Grandmas and Grandpas Not Mommies and Daddies”, but will also offer a sneak preview of her upcoming title “Sometimes Just One is Just Right”.

Byrne can usually be found reading with little ones at Killingworth Library, where she has been the Children’s Librarian for twelve years. An award-winning educator, she previously taught English and Child Development. Byrne is an active member of Grandparents Raising Grandchildren and lives happily with her granddaughter, Jasmine, and Jazzy’s Poppy in Killingworth.

The event is free but advance sign up is encouraged. Please call the library at 860.663.2000 for additional details.

I would suggest to parents to donate a book to the classroom or school library in their child's nameRead More to celebrate the child's birthday, or other significant event, instead of sending in cupcakes or other sweets.
