Durham's Brown and Wu Qualify for National AP Scholar Award

Xavier graduates among five at school to earn prestigious honor.

 

Xavier High School graduates Gregory Brown and Victor Wu, both of Durham, qualified for the National AP Scholar Award.

Brown and Wu are among five students from the Middletown school's Class of 2012 to earn the prestigious honor which recognizes exceptional achievement on AP Exams. To qualify, students must achieve grades of 4 or higher on a five-point scale on all AP Exams taken, and an average grade of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams.

Durham residents Akshay Vig and Jake Whalen, who also graduated in the spring from Xavier, qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.
