John Lyman students participate in 4th Annual Coginchaug Valley Education Foundation spelling bee.

4th grade students at John Lyman Elementary School were the first to participate in this year's 4th Annual Coginchaug Valley Education Foundation Spelling Bee.

18 students from six classes participated in teams of three.  It was a tough competition with a very talented group of kids, but the final victory went to Maia, Madeline, and Joseph from Mrs. Hadlock's class.

All of the school spelling bee champions from grades 3-8 will be recognized at the CVEF Spelling Bee on Nov. 4 at Coginchaugh High School. The event is at 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend!
