Coginchaug Assistant Principal Brian Bodner Leaving School District in July

Coginchaug High School assistant principal Brian Bodner is leaving Regional School District 13 next month to take a job in Madison, school officials announced Monday afternoon.

Bodner has accepted a position at Daniel Hand High School, a letter sent to parents, students and staff said.

"We appreciate Mr. Bodner’s dedication and commitment to the students over the last three years and wish him well in his new position," the letter signed by Superintendent Susan Viccaro and Interim Superintendent Ernest L. Perlini said.

Monday's announcement comes on the eve of the high school's graduation ceremony and on the heels of the departure of Coginchaug principal Andre Hauser, who left in April to become principal at Waterford High School.

Bodner, who lives in Durham, came to District 13 in 2010 after spending more than a decade in the North Branford school system.
