A Zumba Fitness Party was held on Sunday, November 4th at the Core Club in Durham. It was a fund raising event for the Korn Elementary School's competition "Rally for Recess." This competition is giving the school a chance of winning $30,000 to put towards a new playground.
Many, many, many thanks go out to Cheryl Nugent Salva, the owner of the Core Club, for her donation of the club's space, a Zumba instructor, a 3 month membership raffle and of course her enourmous heart. Thank you for your generosity.
And many thanks to Janice, the Zumba instructor, for her fun and energetic class.
The class would not have been a success without all those whom attended. Thank you for your donations, your time and willingness to participate in the class. Hope you had a great time.
If you missed the event and you would still like to donate to the "Rally for Recess" campaign, no worries. You can donate blank stamped envelopes or a monetary donation and drop them off at either Korn or Brewster Elementary School.
