Show Your Support on Election Day, Get Out to Vote!

The Brayshaw-Bailey Re-election team would like to encourage ALL voters to head to the polls on Tuesday. Every vote is important to us, so please visit the Middlefield Community Center to cast your ballot from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Meet our candidates:

Jon Brayshaw — First Selectman Candidate
A Middlefield native, Jon has spent the past decade serving on the Board of Selectmen, including eight years as First Selectman. He's a licensed professional engineer and architect and has been married to his wife, Gwen, for 48 years. The couple has four children and 11 grandchildren.

Edward Bailey — Board of Selectman Candidate
Ed, a registered unaffiliated voter, has served on the Board of Selectman for the past six years, as well as chairman of the Water Pollution Control Authority. A Rockfall resident of 27 years, Ed is a Commissioned Officer in U.S. Naval Reserve (Ret) and a licensed marine engineer.

Kathy Kokoszka — Town Clerk Candidate
Kathy was born and raised in Middlefield and her family roots go back about 100 years. A Mercy High School and Paier College of Art graduate, Kathy is self-employed in the publishing business.i She is in her second term as a board member of the Water Pollution Control Authority. She was a citizen’s advocate for the town during negotiations with the Department of Transportation from 1996 to 2002

Mary Ann Zieminski — Town Treasurer Candidate
Mary Ann has lived in Rockfall for 24 years and has spent the past two decades working in the financial services industry. She holds a bachelors degree in Education from the University of Connecticut, as well as a Paralegal Litigation Certificate from UConn. Mary Ann is a long-time member of the Middlesex Hospital Vocal Chords.

Robert Yamartino — Board of Finance Candidate
Bob is a longtime Middlefield resident who holds a bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University and Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He currently serves on Middlefield's Board of Finance as vice chairman and is employed as a Vice President with Webster Bank. 

Dave Lowry — Board of Finance Candidate
Dave has served the town previously as a member of the Board of Selectman, Conservation Committee and chairman of the Powder Ridge ad hoc committee. A longtime Middlefield resident, Dave is state chairman of Ducks Unlimited, the world's largest wetlands conservation organization. He's a graduate of Xavier High School and is employed by Hartford Distributors. Dave is a member of the Lions Club and he and his wife Kathleen have four children.

Joel Nick — Board of Finance Candidate
Joel has lived in Middlefield for over eight years and is employed as a Social Studies teacher at Farmington High School. He's served as department chair and holds a bachelors degree in Political Science and Masters degree in History from UConn. Joel and his wife, Cindy, have two children.

Nancy Currlin — Board of Assessment Appeals Candidate
Nancy is a long time resident of Middlefield. She is past president of the Central Connecticut Board of Realtors and has been honored as “Realtor of the Year.” She holds a business degree from Central Connecticut State University and has served on the Board of Assessment Appeals for the past eight years. She's been married to her husband, Bill, for over 34 years. The couple has a daughter.
