Strokes: Learn About the Signs, Impacts and Response at this Durham Event

Paramedic Brad Fowler will be leading the free event on strokes.

The Town of Durham will be sponsoring an event on March 17 for residents who want to learn about a serious medical emergency that affects the elderly: the stroke.

The event will focus on the impact of strokes, who is at greatest risk of suffering them, what ca be done to prevent them and how to prepare for a 911 response, among others, according to the flier from the event.

The event is titled "Improving Outcomes Through Action," and it is being presented by Paramedic Brad Fowler.

The presentation is free and it is being sponsored by Middlesex Hospital.
