Poll Results: Local Republicans Support Romney in Presidential Primary

Despite low voter turnout, Republican voters in Killingworth, Durham and Middlefield chose the Republican frontrunner as he looked to win all of the state's 25 delegates.

 

Here are the unofficial results of Tuesday's Republican Presidential Primary by town:

Killingworth (Total votes: 191 of 1,222 registered Republicans, or 15.63%)

Mitt Romney — 125 votes

Newt Gingrich — 23

Ron Paul — 23

Rick Santorum — 17 

Uncommitted — 3

Durham (Total votes: 256 of 1,364 registered Republicans, or 18.77%)

Mitt Romney — 149 votes

Ron Paul — 47

Newt Gingrich — 31

Rick Santorum — 22

Uncommitted — 5

Middlefield (Total votes: 82 of 605 registered Republicans, or 13.5%)

Mitt Romney — 52 votes

Ron Paul — 18

Newt Gingrich — 9

Rick Santorum — 2

Uncommitted — 1
