Passport Day in Durham, Other Locations Cancelled

With government shutdown looming, Passport Day has been cancelled.

Passport Day in the USA, an event scheduled to take place in Durham and at several other locations throughout the state on Saturday, April 9, has been cancelled due to the impending government shutdown.

"We regret that this event cannot take place as planned," a letter sent to Durham Town Hall said. The letter was received shortly after 3 p.m. Friday afternoon.

Passport Day had been scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at town hall.
