Middlefield Budget Hearing Thursday

Board of Finance to hold Public Hearing at 7 p.m. on proposed budget.

Middlefield's Board of Finance will hold a Public Hearing to present the town's 2011-2012 proposed budget on Thursday, April 14, at 7 p.m. at the .

The board has spent the past month making any necessary adjustments to the original $4.4 million budget proposal made by Jon Brayshaw in early March.

Under that original proposal, Middlefield's tax rate would increase by 1 mill (which does not take into account Regional School District 13's proposal).

Residents attending Thursday's hearing will be informed on the budget, as well have the opportunity to voice comments or concerns about the budget. Copies will be available at the Community Center.

Following the hearing, the Board of Finance will make any necessary adjustments before sending the budget to Town Meeting in May.
