John Samperi Wins Bid To Run For 35th Assembly District Seat

The seat covers Killingworth, Clinton and part of Westbrook

has won the bid to seek the 35th Assembly District Seat, covering Killingworth, Clinton and part of Westbrook, his campaign group announced.

According to the press release, the former chairman of the Killingworth Republican Town Committee was selected unanimously at a convention on Wednesday, May 16.

Westbrook's James Crawford currently holds the seat Samperi seeks, and the election will be held in November.

Samperi spoke to supporters following Wednesday's convention, the release says:

“It is critical to have plain common sense be a state government priority. Common sense tells  us not to spend more money than we have, to cut back where we can, and be responsible with  the taxpayers' money—your money!"

“The taxpayers of the 35th district are simply fed up with more and more taxes, less services and disappointment from our legislators in Hartford. I plan to bring common sense and a commitment to excellence to Hartford."

I would suggest to parents to donate a book to the classroom or school library in their child's nameRead More to celebrate the child's birthday, or other significant event, instead of sending in cupcakes or other sweets.
