The Town of Durham's Social Services Department and the Durham Fair Association announced they are working together to open a pantry for town residents in need.
The fair will be providing the space for the social services department to store non-perishable items to be distributed to eligible families.
The social services department welcomes donations at this time of peanut butter, sauce, pasta, toilet paper, shampoo and toothpaste. Gift cards to grocery stores are also appreciated.
Anyone with questions can contact Amanda Pedersen at 860-349-3153. Donations may be dropped off at the Durham Town Hall (Human Services Department) and gift cards can also be sent to the Town Hall to the attention of: Amanda, PO Box 428, Durham, CT 06422.
