Update: Durham Residents Warned of Lawn Mower Thefts, Solicitors
The following Safer Durham Alert was sent to residents at 11:55 a.m.
This is Laura Francis First Selectman with an announcement from our Resident State Trooper’s office.
There have been recent thefts of lawn mowers and power equipment out of various sheds in Durham. There is also a group of solicitors from a company called Powerhouse Construction without a permit. We are not sure if this group is related to the thefts, however, if this group solicits at your door; please call 911 so that the CT State Police can investigate. Residents are reminded to keep their sheds and garages locked at all times. Thank you for your cooperation.
