Troop F Police Blotter — Arrests Ending Oct. 27, 2013

The latest arrests relating to Durham, Middlefield and other surrounding towns in the region.

The following arrest information came from the State Police Troop F barracks in Westbrook. It does not indicate a conviction.

Clinton

Oct. 22

State police have arrested a New Haven man accused of driving over 100 mph on I-95.

A state trooper pulled over Alexander Rivera, 21, 214 Lombard St., on Oct. 22 at 2:26 a.m. after he clocked Rivera traveling 112 mph on the southbound side of the interstate near Exit 63 in Clinton.

Rivera was charged with reckless driving and was later released without incident after posting a $500 bond. He is due in Middlesex Superior Court on Nov. 7.

Old Lyme

Oct. 22

Ronald Lee. Benway, 40, 56 Hamburg Road, Lyme, was charged with illegal possession of a motor vehicle plate after police said he was observed removing a license plate from a parked car in the Big Y parking lot in Old Lyme on Oct. 22. Benway was released on a $500 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on Oct. 30.

Oct. 26

Christopher Wood-Muller, 49, 51 Bill Hill Road, Old Lyme, was charged with operating under the influence after police pulled him over on Mile Creek Road near the intersection with flat Rock hill in Old Saybrook on Oct. 26 around 2:35 a.m. Wood-Muller was held on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on Nov. 6.

Andrew Igersheimer, 180-2 Boston Post Road, Old Lyme, was charged with possessing marijuana and possessing drug paraphernalia on Oct. 26 after police pulled him over on Lyme Street in Old Lyme.

Oct. 27

Adam Michael Pietrowicz, 32, 27 Hillside Road, Old Lyme, was charged with third-degree assault after police said he punched a woman in the face while driving southbound on Route 9 in Middletown on Oct. 27. Pietrowicz was held on a $500 bond and was scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Oct. 28.

Chester

Oct. 22

Matthew Vogt, 26, 86 Spring St., Chester, was charged with risk of injury to a child and third-degree assault after police responded to a reported child abuse situation on Oct. 22. Vogt was held on a $10,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Oct. 23.

Durham

Oct. 23

On Oct. 23, state police were contacted by a mother of a victim in regards to possible “bullying” occurring at Coginchaug High School. The case is under further investigation by police as well as school officials.

Killingworth

Oct. 23

State police responded to 59 Iron Works Road in Killingworth for a report of identity theft on Oct. 23. The case is under investigation.

Middletown

Oct. 24

State police responded to Vinal Regional Technical High School in Middletown on Oct. 24 after getting a complaint that a student was in possession of a small amount of marijuana on school grounds. The juvenile was issued a summons to appear in Middletown Juvenile Court to answer to the charge of possessing more than .5 ounces of cannabis.

Middlefield
 

Oct. 25

A business owner contacted the Middlefield Resident Trooper’s Office on Oct. 25 regarding a possible theft of property from his company, United Cleaning and Restoration. According to police, the complainant reported that in August of 2012 his company was contracted to complete a restoration following a fire at a private home in New Haven. After the fire, his company took possession of $25,000 in damaged property — shoes and handbags — from within the home, and some of that property is now missing. Police are investigating.

Raina Boyle, 28, 4124 Town Place, Middletown, was charged with operating under the influence and driving the wrong way on a highway after police pulled her over on Route 66 near the intersection with Ball Fall Road in Middlefield on Oct. 25. Police said Boyle failed a field sobriety tests and was taken into custody on the above charges. She was later released on a $1,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Nov. 8.

Old Saybrook

Oct. 26

Jaime E. Rivera-Murillo, 43, 30 Flat Swamp Road, Newtown, was charged with operating under the influence and a failure to drive in the proper lane after police pulled her over on Oct. 26 on I-95 southbound in Old Saybrook after seeing her drive erratically. Rivera-Murillo was released on a $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Nov. 7.
