Street Signs, Mailboxes Vandalized in the Lake Beseck Area

Police are investigating the Middlefield incident, believed to have happened during overnight hours from Saturday to Sunday.

State police are investigating a report of vandalism to a number of street signs and mailboxes in the Lake Beseck area.

According to a police press release, 22 various street signs, mailboxes and other pieces of property were spray painted with an orange-colored paint. Some of the markings include the writing "LRG." 

The Lake Beseck Crime Watch in Middlefield reported the vandalism to police on Jan. 12 at 10:53 a.m.

State police believe the incident happened between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Anyone who witnessed people walking in the area, or who might have furhter information, is asked to contact the Middlefield Resident Trooper's Office at 860-349-9685. Residents are also reminded to call 911 if they see anyone or anything suspicious.

The Lake Beseck Crime Watch posted several photos of the vandalism on its Facebook page. The ones attached to this article are just a sample.
