Police: Two Charged with Burglarizing Durham Home

The suspects were caught in Higganum and items stolen from the home were recovered, police say.

 

Two men were arrested last week after burglarizing an unoccupied home in Durham, according to state police.

Matthew J. Mosher, 26, of Haddam, and Nicholas Waite, 20, of Higganum, are charged with third degree burglary and sixth degree larceny.

According to a report, shortly after 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 23, police received a call of a suspicious vehicle located at 20 Fowler Avenue.

The vehicle and the suspects fled the scene before police arrived but Mosher and Waite were subsequently located in Higganum where they were arrested, police say.

Items stolen from the home were recovered, according to police.

Mosher and Waite are due in court Jan. 6.
