Police: Store Burglarized During Power Outages

Thief steals cigarettes and lottery tickets during overnight break-in in Rockfall.

Police say a thief stole an undetermined amount of cigarettes and lottery tickets after breaking into a convenience store in Rockfall during the height of power outages cause by an Oct. 29 snowstorm.

According to a report, the burglary at , 108 Main Street, took place sometime between 10 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2 and 5 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 3.

Police say the thief gained access to the delicatessen and convenience store by breaking through a glass door in the front of the building.

The burglary remains under investigation.
