Police: Speeding Teen Flips Truck in Killingworth

17-year old given written warning for crash along Schnoor Road last month.

A teenage driver was speeding when he flipped a truck along Schnoor Road in Killingworth last month, police say.

According to police, 17-year old Kyle Johnson, of Jacob Lane in Killingworth, was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of a 2004 Chevy Avalanche shortly after 11 a.m. on Aug. 24.

Johnson was headed north on Schnoor Road when he hit a pot hole, crossed the center lane and then hit an embankment, rolling the truck onto its roof, a report says.

The vehicle came to a stop after hitting a tree.

Johnson was taken to Middlesex Hospital with unknown injuries. He was given a written warning for speeding by police.
