A Durham man was drunk when he was caught speeding along Route 9 in Haddam earlier this week, police say.
Matthew Clark, 26, of 55 Dunn Hill Road, was arrested Monday evening after he was clocked going 90 miles-per-hour on his 2005 Harley Davidson. Police say Clark was passing vehicles on the right shoulder between exits 7 and 8.
After Clark was stopped he failed a field sobriety test, according to a report, and was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving and passing on the right.
Police say the motorcycle was towed from the scene. Clark was released on $1,000 bond and is due in court June 7.
