Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident in Middlefield on Tuesday night.
State police confirmed to Patch that a man was struck around 7 p.m. in front of St. Colman Church on Hubbard Street. The victim's injuries were said to be minor.
The victim was weed whacking the church's lawn when a car traveling on Hubbard Street swerved and struck him, according to an email sent by an aquaintance of the victim.
Police say the vehicle — a grey or silver car with a sunroof — fled the scene towards Middletown.
The suspects are in their teens, according to police.
The case is being investigated by Middlefield Police Officer Scott Halligan.
