Police ID Middletown Homicide Victim as New Britain Woman

Middletown Police say Diana Eichler, 31, is the woman found face down under a bridge at Westfield Falls Saturday by two hikers.

 

Diana Eichler, 31, of New Britain has been identified as the found Saturday by two hikers in the secluded woods off Miner Street in Middletown through fingerprint identification, according to Middletown Police. 

Her autopsy was performed Monday by the state medical examiner's office in Farmington.

Hikers enjoying a trail leading to a bucolic waterfall just up from a 9-hole golf course made a grisly discovery Saturday afternoon after following a substance along the ground that appeared to be blood, according to Middletown Police.

Police say Eichler's body was found face down in the water under the bridge at Westfield Falls, just up the road from the just before 1 p.m.

The Middletown Police Department is asking that anyone having contact or with Diana Eichler especially in the 48 hours prior to her body being found, call the department at (860) 344-3200 with any information no matter how small.

The homicide investigation is still ongoing.
