Police: Hit-and-Run Driver Leaves Scene After Injuring Bicyclist

A Killingworth teenager was hurt last week after being hit by a car on Little City Road in Haddam.

State police are still searching for the hit-and-run driver who injured a Killingworth teenager last week in Haddam.

Police say the 16-year-old was riding his bicycle west along Little City Road around 2 p.m., on April 16, when he was hit by a vehicle turning east onto Little City Road from Jackson Road.

The teen was knocked to the ground and suffered scrapes and bruises to his legs and abdomen but the driver did not stop.

Police say the teen managed to ride his bike to a nearby home where he called police. No description of the vehicle was provided.
