Police: Durham Man Arrested for Giving Marijuana to Minor

A Durham man was arrested Monday for allegedly providing a minor with marijuana, according to state police.

Paul J. Nicolai Jr., 47, of 151 Trimountain Road was charged on April 29 with seven counts of risk of injury to a minor/impairing the morals of a child.

According to police, Nicolai provided the minor with marijuana on numerous occasions between November 2012 and January 2013.

Last month, Nicolai was arrested and charged with failure to appear on sixth degree larceny charges. He's alleged to have written two bad checks to a UPS store in Cromwell last year and was arrested in September.

According to court records, Nicolai was arrested by state police last June and charged with operating under the influence, operating without a license and breach of peace.

Nicolai posted a $10,000 bond following his latest arrest and is due in court on May 15.
