Police Blotter: Monday, November 26

The following information was provided by Connecticut State Police and local police departments. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Wednesday, Nov. 7

State Police responded to a three car accident on Baileyville Road (Route 147) in Middlefield at approximately 12:00 p.m. According to a report, the driver of a third vehicle, described as a dark blue or black, 2005 or newer Chevy pickup truck with front end damage, evaded the scene of the accident. Witnesses say the vehicle turned onto Way Road after the accident. Police say weather may have been a factor in the crash. No injuries were reported.

Wednesday, Nov. 21

At approximately 10:42 p.m., Abby H. Doolittle, 25, of 223 Cherry Hill Road, Middlefield, was traveling north on Reeds Gap Road about 1/10th of a mile from Route 147 in a 2002 Volkswagen Golf when the vehicle left the road and struck a guardrail. The vehicle sustained heavy damage to the passenger side, roof, windshield and front bumper. Doolittle was not injured. She was issued a written warning for failure to drive in proper lane.

Saturday, Nov. 24

At approximately 4:48 a.m., James Plouffe, 40, of Middletown, was traveling north on Strickland Road near Peckham Park when he lost control of his 2009 Honda Accord around a curve and struck a utility poll. Plouffe was not injured. He was ticketed for failure to keep right on a curve and traveling too fast for conditions.
