Police Blotter: Locals Charged With Driving Without a License

Geoffrey Riggio of Killingworth and Nichole Keathley of Rockfall were pulled over this month and police discovered neither had a valid license, reports show.

 

Friday, Feb. 17

Geoffrey Riggio, 28, of 64 Roast Meat Hill Road, Killingworth, was issued a misdemeanor summons for misuse of a maker plate, operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. At approximately 3:48 p.m., police observed Riggio traveling southbound on Route 9 in the town of Haddam. He was subsequently stopped and the vehicle was towed from the scene. Riggio was released and is scheduled to appear at Middlesex Superior Court on Feb. 29.

Saturday, Feb. 18

A driver traveling northbound on County Road in Killingworth at approximately 4:27 p.m. was approaching the intersection to Emanuel Church Road when he swerved to avoid hitting a deer. The driver struck a wooden beam post but was not injured.

Tuesday, Feb. 21

Nichole D. Keathley, 41, of Peters Lane, Rockfall was charged by Middletown Police with operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license and failure to carry a license. According to a police report, Keathley was stopped while driving a Honda Civic on Washington Street.
