Police Blotter: July 29 to August 6

Sunday, July 29

Robin Raegan, 46, of Burt Drive, Middlefield, was charged with operation of a motor vehicle when registration is suspended and insurance coverage fails minimum. According to a report, Raegan was driving a Ford Taurus at the McDonald's on Washington Street in Middletown when he was stopped by Middletown Police at 10:11 p.m.

Tuesday, July 31

Matthew R. Cox, 24, of Old Blue Hills Road, Durham was charged with signal device violations, towing an unregistered motor vehicle and insurance coverage fails minimum. According to a report, Cox was driving a Ford F-250 on Reservoir Road in Middletown while towing a 14-foot landscaping trailer. When stopped by officers, the report says, Cox said he was working and was towing the trailer which had just been repaired after an accident.

Monday, August 6

Joseph G. Angello, 26, of School Street, Middlefield, was arrested and charged with drinking while operating a motor vehicle. According to a report, Middletown Police witnessed Angello drive through a light at Prospect and Grand streets. He was stopped at Newfield and Westfield streets, the report says, and an officer saw a half-empty cold beer bottle in the center console. Angello admitted to drinking two other beers plus the half-beer, the officer says. Angello failed sobriety tests. He has prior arrest DUI arrest, the report says.
