Police Blotter: Two-Way Radios Stolen from Bus Parking Lot

Police are investigating the theft of equipment from the bus depot in Durham.

 

Thursday, Feb. 23

Police are investigating the theft of two Motorola two-way radios stolen from unlocked vehicles parked in the DATTCO bus parking lot located at 41-B Commerce Circle, Durham. The incident occurred between 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22 and 6 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23.

Friday, Feb. 24

Veronica Hernandez, 26, of Middletown, was issued an infraction for traveling too fast for conditions. According to police, Hernandez was headed north on Route 157 (Main Street) in Middlefield at approximately 4:28 a.m., when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a power pole. Hernandez was not injured.

Stanley Barnette, 54, of Middletown was issued a written warning for traveling too fast for conditions. According to police, Barnette was headed east on Route 66 near Route 147 at approximately 5:38 a.m., when he lost control of his vehicle and struck the guardrail. Barnette was not injured.

Sunday, March 4

At approximately 6 p.m., police responded to 122 Route 148 in Killingworth for a report of a domestic disturbance. Following an investigation, police arrested Ralph Knockwood, 61, on charges of second degree threatening and disorderly conduct. James Knockwood, 22, was charged with disorderly conduct.
