The Durham Volunteer Fire Company recently purchased medical equipment with the donation money it has raised during the past year. The reason for the purchase was to get the necessary equipment needed to provide service as a Supplemental First Responder that the Fire Company applied for and recently learned was accepted.
The fire company purchased four medical bags and the supplies to fully stock them along with two new LifePak 1000 AED’s (Automated external defibrillation) and one training AED.
The Durham Volunteer Fire Company looks forward to better serving the town of Durham’s community with its new service as a Supplemental First Responder.
