PD: Middlefield Man On Way Home From Bar Busted for DUI

Middletown Police say 25-year-old Justin Rogers admitted to drinking six beers before before driving through a stop sign.

 

A Middlefield man admitted to drinking at a local bar before he was arrested last month and charged with driving under the influence, according to Middletown Police.

At approximately 12:46 a.m. on Dec. 20, Justin J. Rogers, 25, of Jackson Hill Road, was driving a Chevrolet Trailblazer at a high rate of speed on Wadsworth Street when he failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of West Street, a police report says.

Rogers was stopped by police and smelled of alcohol, was confused, slurring his words and had bloodshot and glossy eyes, according to the report.

Rogers told police he was coming from La Boca's Restaurant bar in Middletown and admitted to drinking six beers in the last hour and a half.

He failed sobriety and blood alcohol level tests and was arrested.
