Killingworth Man Arrested For DUI, Elderly Driver Receives Warning

Saturday, Sept. 10

Jeffrey Horn, 56, of Rocky Hill, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, operating on an expired license, following too close and improper passing. According to police, Horn was spotted "tailgating numerous vehicles" and driving eratically along Route 66. He was pulled over shortly before attempting to get on I-84, police say.

Dawn Warner, 43, and Sydney Rojas, 19, both of 7 Chicopee Road, Middlefield, were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct following an investigation into a domestic violence incident at their home, according to a police report. Rojas also faces a criminal mischief charge.

Bruce A. Randall, 45, of 139 Ironworks Road, Killingworth, was arrested and charged with breach of peace after police say he was involved in an altercation along Route 153 in Westbrook.

State police investigate the theft of construction equipment from a business located at 51 Ozick Drive in Durham. According to a report, thieves stole two Hilti, 22 caliber concrete nail guns and a tape measurer from a construction truck.

Police issued a written warning to Penny Apter, 87, of Middle Haddam for a crash along Route 66 in Middlefield. According to police, Apter made an unsafe lane change near Jackson Hill Road and hit another vehicle.

Monday, Sept. 19

Augusto Gonzalez-Jaramillo, 46, of 255 North Parker Hill Road, Killingworth, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, operating a vehicle without a license and failure to drive right. According to police, Gonzalez-Jaramillo was stopped along Route 148 in Chester after an officer noticed he was driving eratically.
