Firefighters Train for Water Rescue at Lake Beseck

Members of the Middlefield Volunteer Fire Company and Explorers participated in a drill Monday night at Lake Beseck to practice their water rescue techniques.

Firefighters rely on cold water suits, an inflatable rescue boat and other equipment to train for water rescues.

Fire Chief Pete Tyc said summer provides a good time for firefighters to brush up on their skills so they're ready in the event a call comes in.
