Durham-Middlefield Police Blotter: May 7-16

The following arrest information was supplied by local and state police departments. It does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, May 7

Alden Keeling, 50, of Indian Lane, Durham, was arrested and charged with stop sign violation, operation of a motor vehicle while license is suspended and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. According to Middletown Police, Keeling ran a stop sign at Middle Street and Country Club Road with a registration expired since November 2011.

Thursday, May 16

Robin Kassman, 57, of Columbia, was charged with evading responsibility and unsafe movement of a motor vehicle. According to police, a vehicle driven by Kassman struck another vehicle along Route 66 at the intersection of Jackson Hill Road. Police say after the accident, Kassman approached the other driver and told her there was no damage before leaving the scene. She was later located along Route 66 and issued a misdemeanor summons. The driver of the second vehicle was taken to a local hospital with possible injury.
