Durham-Middlefield Police Blotter: Feb. 15 - Mar. 4

The following arrest information was supplied by local and state police departments. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Friday, Feb. 15

Michael Downs, 43, of 64 Kickapoo Road, Middlefield, was arrested and charged with fourth degree larceny and fifth degree larceny. 

Tuesday, Feb. 19

Justin Henderson, 23, of 22 Lake Road, Middlefield, was arrested by State Police for violation of probation. An arrest warrant was issued for Henderson following his Jan. 24 arrest on drug charges in New Britain.

Sunday, March 3

State Police are investigating the theft of a motor vehicle from Victory Christian Church at 191 Meriden Road in Middlefield. According to a report, a white, 2012 Nissan Murado with license plates 812-UUC was stolen from the location at mid-morning. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Weber at 860-399-2100.

Monday, March 4

Hilbert Gibbs, 35, of Pawcatuck, was arrested and charged with third degree larceny and two counts of issuing a bad check. According to a report, Gibbs was arrested on an active PRAWN warrant for charges dating back to 2005. Police said Gibbs' victim is from Middlefield. He is also facing a charge of violation of probation.

The traffic signal is a DOT project. I called today and spoke to the project manager who could notRead More give me an exact date of the start of construction and said he'd get back to me. That was a over four hours ago. The project, as indicated at several meetings, is scheduled for sometime this summer. The funding was put in last year and will carry over because the project is not yet ongoing.
