A Durham man faces charges after crashing a truck into a utility poll last weekend, police say.
David J. Dudley, 25, of 143 Old Farms Road, is charged with operating a motor vehicle under suspension and failure to drive right.
Shortly before 11 a.m. on Oct. 28, police say Dudley was behind the wheel of a Ford F-150 pickup truck headed east on Stage Coach Road when he lost control and struck a utility poll.
The crash caused extensive damage, a report says, and Dudley was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital with a leg injury. He's due in court Nov. 7.
Court records show that Dudley was arrested by Wethersfield Police on Sept. 9 on similar charges.
In Dec. 2011, he was cited by Middletown Police for driving without insurance. Dudley is also facing felony drug charges following an arrest in March 2011 in Middletown.
Dudley twice pleaded guilty in 2009 to operating a motor vehicle under suspension. He was fined $300.
