Durham Gas Station Robbed; Police Release Photos of Suspects

A suspect came in and demanded money from the cashier during the early hours of Dec. 19.

State police are investigating a robbery that occurred at a Durham gas station early Thursday morning.

According to a police press release, the robbery was reported at 4:29 a.m. on Dec. 19 at the Valero gas station, 384 Main St., in Durham. Police said a man approached the counter, implied he had a weapon and demanded money.

The cashier gave the man an undetermined amount of cash. Police said another male entered the store who they believe to be an accomplice.

The two men then left and were last seen traveling westbound on Route 147 in a "lower rider single cab pickup truck" with unknown Connecticut license plates, police said. 

The first male, who demanded money, was described as a dark-skinned Hispanic man, about 5'10", 160 lbs., a shaved head, wearing a light-colored coat and light blue jeans.

The other male was described as a light-skinned Hispanic male, about 6'1-6'2, 160-170 lbs., with a long, black-colored scruffy beard and a mustache. His hair was black and it came down to his shoulders. He was wearing two jackets and had on a pair of red-and-black plaid pajama-type pants. He also had a black skull cap with a Nike symbol on it.

The case is open and under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Troop F barracks in Westbrook at 860-399-2100.
