BREACH OF PEACE — Alden E. Keeling, 50, 111 Indian Lane, Durham, was charged with second-degree failure to appear on Sept. 30 after he was located on Indian Lane. He was held on a $500 bond and was due in Rockville Superior Court on Sept. 30.
CRUELTY TO ANIMALS — Ernesto Rodriguez, 36, 24 Stanley St., East Hartford, was charged with cruelty to animals and a breach of peace after police said they got a complaint on Sept. 30 of a man at the Middlefield Livestock Auction placing a goat on the back of a truck of a vehicle by its horns. The complainant then said the man, identified as Rodriguez, then tried to close the lid of the truck with the live goat inside. Rodriguez was taken into custody on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Rockville Superior Court on Oct. 16.
On Sept. 30 police said four juveniles walked away from the Rushford Academy in Durham. Police located the boys and three of them were returned to the academy. One of the boys was remanded to the Connecticut Juvenile Training School in Middletown.
