Durham and Middlefield Police Blotter: Nov. 3-10

The following information was provided by Connecticut State Police and local police departments. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Nov. 3

Brian Badamo, 38, 148 Bluff View Drive, Guilford, was taken into custody by police following a one-car accident on Race Track Hollow in Middlefield on Nov. 3. Police said he struck a rock on the property of 35 Race Track Hollow. He was not injured. Badamo exhibited signs of being under the influence of an alcoholic beverage after failing a field sobriety test. Police did not state whether he was charged or not.

Sarah L. Thody, 20, of Baileyville Road in Middlefield, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence under the age of 21 and a failure to state right on a curve after police pulled her over on Nov. 8 at 10 p.m. on her street. Thody was processed and releasedon a $500 non-surety bond. She is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Nov. 20.

Matthew M. Popek, 22, 254 Maiden Lane, Durham, was arrested and charged with interfering with an officer and first-degree failure to appear on Nov. 10 at 10 p.m. Popek was held on a total $7,500 bond and is scheduled to appear In Middlesex Superior Court on Nov. 13.
