Construction Worker Killed on Route 9 South
Contractor's employee crushed by dump truck in work zone near Exit 2 at about 8 p.m.
A worker was crushed by a dump truck on a road-paving jobsite near Route 9's junction with I-95 at about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday night.
Connecticut State Police spokesman Lt. J. Paul Vance would not confirm the gender or identity of the victim to Patch Wednesday night, but said state police are continuing to investigate.
"I can confirm that there was a fatality and that investigators are at the scene," he said.
