Chester

Dec. 2

A 8:37 p.m., a woman walking on the right shoulder of Route 154 north was hit by a car on her left side traveling in the same direction which never stopped. The victim was unable to get a car make, model, color, plate or model, according to the report, involved in the incident near Denlar Drive.

Colchester

Dec. 5

At 3:39 p.m., Shannon L. White, 24, of Stallma Road was picked up on an outstanding warrant for failure to respond.

Deep River

Dec. 6

At 8:29 a.m., Andrew R. Sypher, 32, of Spring Street was brought in on an outstanding warrant as a fugitive from justice from the state of Florida, according to the report. 

A juvenile was charged with sixth-degree larceny and sent to the Tri-Town Juvenile Review Board.

Dec. 5

At 1:24 a.m., Martin R. Mudge, 44, of Union Street was arrested for disorderly conduct, third-degree assault, second-degree threatening and risk of injury to a minor after a domestic assault with Heather Mudge, 41, and their 11-year-old child. Heather was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.

Dec. 4

At 9:45 a.m., Todd Schondorf, 48, of Village Street, turned himself in on an outstanding warrant for third-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny.

Dec. 3

A 1976 Fiat Spyder was stolen from 166 Main Street some time between Nov. 21 and Nov. 28.

Durham

Dec. 8

At 5:22 p.m. police were called about a larceny from a car parked at 86 Old Farms Road overnight.

Dec. 6

At 7:54 a.m., police were called to Coginchaug High School and Strong Elementary in Durham and Lyman Elementary in Middlefield about criminal mischief that caused $3,000 worth of damage.

Dec. 2

Somewhere between Nov. 20 and Dec. 2, a home at 105 Middlefield Road was broken into through a basement window under the front porch, according to the report, and 120 feet of copper wire was cut out of the water system and stolen. The home is vacant and for sale by the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation.

Guilford

Dec. 9

At 3:18 a.m., Geraldo B. Barroso, 31, of Walnut Street, Abington, Mass., was issued a ticket for driving too fast for conditions after his Chevy van spun out of control and crashed into a wire rope guard rail on I-95 in Guilford.

Haddam

Dec. 5

At 10:31 p.m., Brian A. Dewolf, 58, of Middlesex Avenue, Chester, was arrested for driving under the influence and driving in a no-passing zone while traveling on Route 82. He failed sobriety tests, police say.

Dec. 3

James J. Sanders, 61, of Tolland was issued an infraction for following too closely after an accident in which his Toyota Corolla hit a victim's Acura TL on Saybrook Road at 4:25 p.m.

Dec. 2

At 10:30 a.m., the owner of the Sunoco Gas Station at 110 Saybrook Road reported suspicious activity around the outside camera system.

Middlefield 

Dec. 8

At 3:01 p.m., state police investigated a report of criminal mischief to a car parked at the Lake Beseck parking lot on Lake Shore Drive overnight. 

At 2:56 p.m., Walter M. Wasilewski, 39, of Middletown was driving on Route 66 when the front end of a victim's Saturn ION hit his Chevrolet K1500 pickup after he slowed down to leave the highway where that was not permitted, according to the report. He was charged with making an improper exit, traveling slow, suspended registration and failure to carry minimum insurance.

At 9:04 a.m., police investigated three cars' front and rear windows that were damaged while parked overnight on Seminole Road.

Dec. 7

At 11:28 p.m., Stephanie L. Ortega, 26, of Saybrook Road was driving 60 miles per hour in a 40 MPH zone on Route 66 and charged with insurance coverage fails minimum, speeding and driving under the influence after her breath test showed a blood alcohol level of .2150.

Middletown

Dec. 6

At 7:08 p.m., Mipassa Perry, 22, of Woodbury Circle rear ended a Honda Odyssey on Route 17 while driving a Chevrolet Malibu and was issued a ticket for failure to drive at a reasonable distance. 

Old Lyme

Dec. 8

At 7:24 p.m., Louis T. Valentino, 65, of Nautilis Drive, Norwalk, was issued and infraction for failure to stay in proper lane after losing control of his Volkswagen Jetta on I-95 between exits 70 and 71 and traveling off the shoulder and down an embankment.

Dec. 6

At 5:08 p.m., Olivia I. Bonilla, 21, of Charles Street, Norwalk, was issued a ticket for following too closely after the Toyota Corolla she was driving hit a Toyota Camry turning into the Essex Savings Bank.

At 3:17 p.m., someone stole a mailbox from the driveway at 43 Whippoorwhill Road between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Dec. 3

At 4:44 p.m., John Menderson, 52, of Hawks Nest Road, Old Lyme, was driving on Route 156 and charged with driving under the influence, traveling too fast, failure to drive in proper lane, driving without a license and drinking while driving. 

Westbrook

Dec. 8

At 11:45 a.m., Jenna Barber of Somerset Street, West Hartford, turned herself in on an outstanding warrant for heroin possession. At Sunday at 2 p.m., West Hartford Police picked her up.

Dec. 6

Robbyn K. Green, 43, of Goose Lane, Guilford, was ticketed for unsafe movement after her Toyota Highland rear ended a Honda Civic on Interstate-95 north at exit 65.
