The FREE event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Middlefield Community Center and is a chance for children and families to meet and interact with local police and firefighters.

Interactive activities include:

In addition, activities for kids will include a bouncy house, dunk tank and a visit by Smokey the Bear. Refreshments will be served and there will be giveaways.

The event is made possible through a community partnership between Connecticut State Police, Middlefield Fire Company, Durham Fire Company and Durham Middlefield Youth and Family Services.
